The first annual Swing for Success was simply sensational!  Hosted at the New Albany Country Club, the event supported the Buddy Up for Life Independence Pillar.

Golfers enjoyed 18 fun-filled holes of golf, pickleball players took part in a fast-paced round robin, and (of course) tennis players practiced their skills and competed. To make things even more exciting, The Ohio State University Women’s Buckeye Tennis Team and our Buddy Up Tennis Athletes joined players on the courts! The event continued into the evening, where guests gathered for a delicious dinner and listened to the incredible rockin’ sounds of The Conspiracy Band.

Proceeds from Swing for Success will support the ongoing development and execution of the Buddy Up Life Skills Program, and most notably, the Communities for Life program, which began its pilot in June. This highly anticipated initiative will serve as a holistic functional living skills program for people with Down syndrome. The goal of the program is to prepare students to master the daily skills to live independently.

WBNS 10TV  Weekend Morning Anchor Brittany Bailey served as the evening’s emcee, while guests enjoyed a wide variety of entertaining activities, including a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, dinner, and dancing to Buddy Up for Life’s favorite band, The Conspiracy Band!

Swing for Success provided us with the opportunity to enjoy a lively evening together while educating many new sponsors and community members on the Buddy Up for Life mission and the Buddy Up Life Skills programs.

We are immensely grateful to Swing for Success Co-Chair Joe Evans, our event sponsors, the New Albany Country Club, and our amazing community for once again coming together in support of our incredible Athletes! Check out the event photos HERE
