At Safelite, Reuben Lo leads insurance and commercial sales teams. At home, he and his wife raise two sons who play tennis. These two worlds collide at Buddy Up for Life, where Reuben’s family has been involved in numerous ways over the last several years.
“My sons started playing tennis at Wickertree more than 10 years ago. That led to our family’s involvement with Buddy Up for Life,” Reuben said. “They have volunteered for the last five to six years, and I have served on the board for about the same amount of time.”
Reuben and his team at Safelite have also welcomed the Communication for Life class to the home office quarterly for over two years. Reuben says he loves seeing Students overcome whatever fears or challenges they have.
“For me, that’s what Buddy Up for Life is all about,” he said. “Providing adaptive programs for the Students to grow and master a skill set while having fun at the same time.”
Reuben’s associates at Safelite also feel the positive impacts of the program.
“Rewarding, gratifying, genuine, contagious, and fun. Those are the words of feedback I never fail to receive after every Communication for Life class.”
Reuben’s favorite part of class?
“At the end, when we line up by the red van in front of the building and sing the Safelite jingle!”
