SHOW US HOW MANY JUMPS YOU CAN DO IN 1 MINUTE!

Welcome to our 2nd Annual Buddy Up for Life Jump fundraiser, a jump-a-thon for Athletes, Buddies, and Coaches to achieve personal goals, create program awareness, and raise needed funds for each of our Chapters to continue to impact lives.

Buddy Up for Life Jump is a great opportunity to achieve a personal goal of number of jump ropes completed in one minute while working towards a fundraising goal to support your local chapter. Grab your jump rope, tell your friends and family, and join us this Fall, as we Jump for More on December 4th! The Buddy Up for Life Jump event will include a virtual hour of fun jump rope performances, interactive dancing, workouts, competitions, and MORE!

WHY
JUMP ROPE?

BALANCE

Studies have shown that continual jumping practice has improved balance in those with Down syndrome. [1]

POSTURAL CONTROL

Studies show that jumping may help “envoke automatic and dynamic postural control” in people with Down syndrome. Simply put, this is referring to their ability to sit upright without back support for extended periods of time. [2]

FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENT SKILLS

Jumping rope helps with balance, this in term helps those with Down syndrome perform better fundamental movement skills (FMS). [3]
